the lydian mode
the sixth note of the natural minor scale
the lydian mode is the mode based on the sixth note of the natural minor scale.

the scale box for the lydian mode looks like this:



to play this scale as the c lydian mode, play the box with the first note at the eighth fret. this scale box has a pattern identical to the lydian mode of the major scale, but the root and fifth appear in different places.
