Counting Crows
Recovering the Satellites
1996
OK, the famed Wallflowers/Counting Crows show is less than 24 hours old
and I'm figuring out my second Crows song. Here's something that may be
their last single from the album, but I'm not sure. Charles Gillingham
did an incredible job on harmonica for this song live. Hope you like it!

Capo 1st INTRO (play twice for intro): D F Em D + + + + + + + + + + + + + + e:-----------------|----------|-----------------|-----------------| B:-------3---------|-/6~~\5---|-3-----3---------|-----------------| G:-------------2---|-/5~~\4---|-2---2-------2---|-------2---------| D:-0---------------|----------|-0---------------|-0-----------4---| A:-----------------|----------|-----------------|-----------------| E:-----------------|----------|-----------------|-----------------| 2/4 4/4 D F Em D + + + + + + + + + + + + + + e:-----------------|----------|-----------------|-----------------| B:-------3---------|-/6~~\5---|-3-----3---------|-------------3---| G:-------------2---|-/5~~\4---|-2---2-------2---|-------2---------| D:-0---------------|----------|-0---------------|-0---------------| A:-----------------|----------|-----------------|-----------------| E:-----------------|----------|-----------------|-----------------| 2/4 4/4
For the verses, just play the intro tab ad-libbed when you see D..., and otherwise strum chords. D... She is trapped inside a month of grey And they take a little every day G She is a victim of her own responses D... Shackled to a heart that wants to settle And then runs away A G It's a sin to be fading endlessly D... Yeah but she's alright with me
She is leaving on a walkaway She is leaving me in disarray In the absence of a place to be She stands there looking back at me Hesitates and then turns away She'll change so suddenly she's just like mercury Yeah but she's alright with me
Keep some sorrow in your hearts and minds For the things that die before their time For the restlessly abandoned homes The tired and weary rambler's bones And stay beside me where I lie She's entwined in me crazy as can be Yeah but she's alright with me G She's alright D... She's alright with me She's alright with me She's alright with me She's alright with me
